Fotoverslag van een camperreis door de American Rockies.

Op dag 6 hebben we vanaf diverse punten en bij verschillende zonnestanden de prachtige Grand Canyon
bekeken. Het is één van de opmerkelijkste geologische fenomenen op aarde met een oppervlakte van
ca. 4800 km2 en op sommige plaatsen 1800 mtr. diep, waar de Coloradorivier als een smal blauw lint
doorheen meandert.

Dag 7 en 8 via een mooie route langs de Grand Canyon en de Carl Hyden stuwdam naar het stuwmeer
Lake Powel waarop we een boottocht hebben gemaakt naar de Rainbowbridge.

Dag 9 een bezoek gebracht aan Antelope Canyon, een langgerekte zeer smalle en diepe kloof waar je
doorheen kunt lopen. Als de zon er recht boven staat ontstaan er in de canyon schitterende lichteffecten
door de binnenvallende zonnestralen. Een paradijs voor fotografen.

Dag 10 een rondrit door Navajo National Monument en Monument Valley, een gebied in de Navajo woestijn
waar de Indianen leven. Ook hier een zandstorm meegemaakt, zeer slecht voor contactlenzen.
